Katie has decided this year it's ok to be smart and get good grades. She has worked hard and it paid off! Now I'm waiting for her to ask me what she will get for it.

The big moment ... we all took a guess at where he would go and mom guessed right.
The team is celebrating after beating Entiat for the first time in Pateros history. Final score: 2-1, and yes Katie pitched the whole game. Her pitching coach was pretty darn proud of her (and of course mom too).
Spring Sport Awards Night
Not to brag but Kyle at Spring Sports Awards at Pateros HS where he received the following: team batting champion, team MVP, All-League MVP, Male Athlete of the Year for 2008 at PHS.
Two brothers who love the game!
Lined up ready to play in a district play-off game in Kennewick, Wa. Unfortunately this was the end of the road for Pateros and Kyle's high school ball career, they lost.
Pateros High School Baccalaureate 2008
Kyle's graduating class poses after their baccalaureate ceremony which was help at Pateros United Methodist Church. It was a nice ceremony and it was interesting to experience another religious service. I had never been to church where they play an electric guitar during the hymns. They also have two singers with microphones who sing along with you. The pastor had a good message that "God really does love you".

I am smiling on the outside but a little sad on the inside. Brian and Kyle will both be moving on in September to bigger and better things.

Oh, my, I do love that song! I watched it with tears streaming down my face and thinking about our missionary. I hope the Lord keeps him safe. May he continue with his great attitude and work habits. I miss him too. Thanks for posting that song.
I got a nice letter from Brian a week or so ago. It was really nice of him to write. I'm afraid I've been slacking off as a correspondent, but I'll try to do better.
Probably more like most of the time? :) He is such a great example. We remember him in our family prayers all the time, and are so proud to be related to such a diligent missionary.
How exciting it will be to see him again, wrestling with his cousins at a family reunion!
I love that song, and love the all male singing! We love you and we love our missionary!
