Happy Birthday to Mom!!!

Happy Birthday to the best mom ever! Since this post is to you I can write it to you! I miss you tons but know that you are where you want to be right now. However, I can hardly wait till you can come visit and be part of our lives in person again. You have so many qualities that I admire and your example is always with me. Thanks for being my mom and loving me, no matter what! I love you.

Isn't she lovely?

I try not to use my blog for bragging, but occasionally I just can't help it. You know?? Tonight was homecoming here in Pateros and Katie was the Junior class princess. A lot of work goes into this entire process. A trip to Seattle. Make-over at clinique make-up counter. Get hair done in Chelan. Best friend to help you put your make-up on!Katie and Joslin as they head down the driveway to go to football game.
Waiting for her turn to go out on field during half-time.
Bob was the lucky one who got to drive the convertible and show her off!
Mr. Football trying to get the tiara just right.

Katie and her escort, Paul with Ms. Volleyball and Mr. Football

Gorgeous!
(Shannon got some great pictures, she is going to email them to me and I will probaby post a few more.)

heading off the field...
I know it's not life or death but we were soooo thankful that it didn't rain tonight. Our weather has been rainy, windy, cloudy, sunny. You never know from minute to minute what is going to happen and we could only use this car if there was NO rain on the roads and thank goodness there wasn't! I told Katie the back-up plan would be riding in my car and I would open the sun roof and she could stick her head out. She said "that's would be dumb mom". True.

one more picture of Sean

warning: be prepared for lots more pictures to come!

Here's Sean!

This picture was taken with David's cell phone and then sent to me, I then sent it to my e-mail and then blogged it. So, it's not the clearest but it is still pretty cute and you can at least get a sneak preview until I get more in person tomorrow!! I will make a quick trip to visit tomorrow after work and come home Thursday evening! Have to be back in Pateros for Katie's big day Friday. Sean Kinley Richardson

BREAKING NEWS....

I'm going to be a grandma tomorrow!! That's right, Tiffany is going to be induced tomorrow morning. She has a condition called toxemia that the doctor found at her appointment last week, and said that Monday (the 26th) would be D-day. Wow, I am getting old. I am planning to make a dash over to Seattle (again, went Fri night came home Sat night to get homecoming dress) on Wed after work and come home Thursday night. Homecoming is Friday/Sat otherwise it would be nice to have gone for the week-end.
Stay posted, pictures coming soon!

Space bags are awesome!

This is my spring/summer t-shirts, jackets and capri's. Rather than take up so much room in a closet I bought some space saver bags and the majority of the clothes fit into two large and two medium bags!! We are supposed to be thankful for small things right, so today I am thankful for them :)
They now fit nicely on top of a old dresser that holds Bob's work clothes. More house remodel pictures soon. Sheetrock was started today, by next week I might be painting.

we're in a mess and I don't even care!

The remodel is well underway. That is a good thing. Unless of course it stays this way. Bob said it will be done by Thanksgiving, latest. The future pantry. Used to be this weird little room that we really weren't sure what to use it for. It was dark and ugly. A pantry will be putting that space to good use.
You can now see from the kitchen to the living room. No walls!!

The remodel will include new cupboards, new floors, new counter tops, new windows, new furniture, new paint, new lighting. I'm probably forgetting something but you get the point!

I know it looks horrible right now, but one plus: I don't have to cook or clean much.
