Before and After

This is before. Her tummy isn't huge but I really thought she had at least two, maybe three puppies in there! This is after. I think Maddy looks like most new mom's feel after giving birth... exhausted.
It's a boy!
It's been tough getting a picture of the pup. Maddy doesn't let him out of her sight and when we pick him up, she whines and cries and jumps up until we put him back.

Mia finally gets a glimpse. We have a big box that Maddy's bed is in and Mia can't really see or get in there so she has been so curious and just parks herself outside the box and stares at it. It's pretty funny.

Like I said, I had thought and hoped she would have at least two. That way the puppies could play together and we had a list of 3-4 people who wanted a pup. So only the first person on the list gets one now. There's no shortage of dogs in the world however. So we will have fun and enjoy him for the next six weeks and then have to say goodbye, that will be a little hard I'm guessing.

Catching Up!

Ok, time to catch up on our happenings around here. I am so far behind and it's tempting to just keep ignoring my blog but I need to just get a move on and try to do better! So, first up is the PHS softball team after a big victory! They had to win two games in order to move onto the state softball tournament last month. Unfortunately they won the first game but lost the second. The good news is that they beat a super team first and played the best I've seen them play all season. I think they just ran out of gas for the next game, there's always next year...We went to Bob's newphew's graduation in Ephrata Friday, June 5th. Here's a picture with most of the "guy's": from left to right: Kyle, Bob, Eric (the graduate), his dad, and Bob's brothers, Mark and Kurt (who is holding his son)
The following day was Pateros High's graduation. Rodger, Katie's "boyfriend" was one of the graduates. The graduation was at 11am and the rest of the day was going to various parties and bbq's. Bob and I headed back over to Ephrata for Eric's party and Bob's mom's birthday.

Just a little sample of some of the announcements we got. We spend over 500$ on gifts and money, expensive week-end!

Spring Sports Awards. It seems like I just blogged about this but here it is a year later! Katie and her friend Kari got the co-mvp's for the team as well as captain awards and 2nd team all league for the 1 and 2B schools. Rodger was MVP for the baseball team and 1st team all league!

Our time is also filled with the mundane activities like giving dog bath's when they have poopy butt. If you have or have ever had a dog you know exactly what I mean. And by the way, Maddy is due sometime at the end of next week!

Love these. I came across these at a little shop in Chelan. Only 8 bucks! They have a bunch of colors and they just look awesome.

I found this dress at another little shop in Chelan for 24 bucks! Yup 24, every dress in there is only 24 bucks! I might be going back soon...

well, that's it for now. Hopefully it won't be so long till I blog again.
