Meet Hip and Hop

yup, this is the piglets: welcome home! Katie choose the pink pig, they are both males. Last year they both looked alike so the girls decided to choose two that look quite different. As we were leaving the pen last night Katie got upset. She told Joslin they should of choose a male and a female and then they could of been named Edward and Bella :). I'm sure the actors would be so honored. Next year.
I couldn't get a good picture of both the girls with their pigs, they were busy running around checking out their new home and digging with their noses, notice how dirty the nose is.

what else is keeping us busy... building a new pig pen!

Today the pigs arrive, so no time like the present to get started on their new pig pen :). It's a long story of why we had to build a new one but to keep it short, we did not get along with the people we shared the pen with last year and felt it would be better in the long run to just have our own. We were able to put it on the same property which works out great because it's pretty close and the people are really nice about letting us keep them there!the above is a picture of what the spot looked like before ...
Katie and Joslin taking a break for lunch, they worked hard you know!

and this is the pig pen after, just about done.

and who was in charge of this fun little week-end project, why that would be Bob! Boy it was a great week-end! The piglets have a nice new home and should be arriving anytime now, pictures tomorrow of them.

Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

whoops, pictures out of order again, but this is Katie and her friend Jamie Jo, Katie was Mrs. Beauregard and Jamie was her daughter, Violet here's the cast at the end taking their bow
this picture is a scene that Katie was in

it was a cute little play but very small school-ish feeling (just in case you don't know what that means ie: no big budgets for the drama department and most of the kids preforming are playing sports and it is tough to get them all there at the same time for practices)
The play was last week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening. Kurt and Shannon and kids all came to watch on Thursday which was very nice of them and I know it made Katie feel good! Thanks ...

Happy Belated Birthday and Mother's Day!

First celebration of the weekend:
Can you believe he is 24! David's birthday was Friday, May 8th. He and Tiffani met us in Kittitas on Saturday for Katie's doubleheader. We brought food, present and cake!

second celebration: Mother's Day
best present: phone call from the missionary! tie for runner up: 20 minute foot massage from Kyle!
and these: cards and a cookbook from Katie and some perfume from everyone.
Happy late Mother's Day to all! Of course we all know the best gifts are those that don't cost money. Mother's Day should be at least once a month don't you think?

I Want Him ...

to win!
I wouldn't mind if Danny won either. They are both talented, personable, cute, and most importantly don't wear black finger nail polish. I'll admit it, Adam has major talent but ...

Ok, I lied.

As I sat and thought about it (my dull life that is) I realized I have had an enjoyable week, I just didn't take any pictures along the way. So, shame on me and I will try to be better (about taking pictures and not feeling sorry for myself) :)
This past week I:
*worked Monday - Thursday
*watched Katie play softball: doubleheader in Pateros on Monday, single game in Okanogan onTuesday
*went on two walks
*went to Wenatchee with Kyle on Friday morning (we left the house at 6:50, yuck, for his doctor appointment that was at 8am, then spent a couple hours doing odds and ends like getting his car washed, looking for birthday presents for Vanessa and mother's day presents for me - just kidding - for Bob's mom
*I got my hair done Friday afternoon, always feels good to get the color/highlights touched up (thanks to my genes I am really starting to get a lot of gray) and a trim - my goal is to start growing my hair again but it really needed to get shaped up first!
*spent at least six hours Saturday doing my calling (Kurt's probably wondering what in the heck takes six hours, haha, but hey those posters take time)
*went out on a date with hubby Saturday night - we ate at The Bomboo Shoot, and it was fabulous! I had a BBQ chicken mango salad and I will be craving it until I can have it again. After dinner we went to see a play at Chelan HS, it was all right but we left at intermission because the first half was an hour and forty minutes, Bob was having hard time keeping his eyes open because he is working 7 days a week right now until this Campbell's job is done!
*Sunday- went to church, did my calling, took my nap, catch up on the computer!

Have a good Monday everyone!

Nothing ...

to blog about. So at least I changed up my background and header box. Thanks Julia for the inspiration! Is my life really this dull?
