Time flies doesn't it? I swear we just did this, and now we (well mostly Katie) is doing it again. Raise a pig through Pateros FFA to sell at the Okanogan County Fair in September. Ahh, last year though!Katie probably wouldn't appreciate the above shot but this was delivery day. The bad thing was she "forgot" to mention until Saturday night about 7pm that the pigs would be arriving the next day around 6pm. Ugh. Not that the pig pen has to be spotless for pigs but still there is a little bit of work and plus they do need food! That meant instead of going to our building for Stake Conference on Sunday we went to Wenatchee (so we could get at least one bag of food to get by until Thursday when I can get back to Wenatchee). What can you do?
It looks awful but this it the way the piglets are carried from the trailer to their pen. They are noisy, wiggly little things and kinda hard to catch if they get away from you.

Checkin out her new home.
And one last thing, I still can't believe I have a daughter who is raising a pig! Never, ever would I have thought that.

What has become of us, Becky? :)
(They are awfully cute at this stage...)
That was actually me; Kurt hadn't signed out after updating the track blog, haha.
sure are cute! Too bad they don't stay that way!
Good luck, Katie. I hope your pig gets nice and fat!
While I don't understand the interest in raising pigs, they do look sort of Wilbur-ish cute.
